Israeli military prosecutors announced their intention to indict the former chief of staff of the Israeli army Golani Brigade, Yoav Yarom, over his involvement in the circumstances that led to the deaths of soldier Gur Kehati, 20, and researcher Ze’ev Erlich, 71, during an 'incident' in south Lebanon in November 2024.

19/09/2025 : yarom was given notice of the intention to indict him, along with a summons to a hearing, the Israeli army said on Thursday. He faces charges of reckless homicide.
Charging an Israeli army officer for the death of another soldier in foreign territory during a war is unprecedented. No other officer has faced similar charges in recent years.
